Punjab
Punjab means "Punj:-five and "ab"-water (pronounced as "aab") Punjab, it is also called the land of water. There are five rivers flow in this small state Punjab, the rivers are Chenab, Sutlej, Beas, Ravi, and Jhelum.
Punjab situated at Northern part of India and most wealthy states of India in terms of agriculture. Chandigarh is the capital of Punjab which is a planned beautiful city. Punjab has its own historic value, Jallian-wala bagh witnessed the scrifice of freedom fighters during British rule. The monument tell us the horror story of killing freedom fightors by British govt.
It is the place of Raja Ranjeet Singh a famous king of Punjab, now its palace converted into museum.
The state has a largest agriculture production in India. It has amazing scenic beuty, vibrant colours and a unique culture of India. Punjab known for its colourful clothes, festivals, martial art from different regions and turbans. It is a religious place for sikhs and have a biggest gurudwara Golden Temple in Amritsar, and Anandpur Saheb and many sufi schools of Islam siyuaded in Punjab.
